Wither and Die

Buy it or you could right-click and Steal it

I’ve seen a book on the grave of an illiterate man
I’ve seen the rich tell the poor they understand
I’ve seen American memories lost in desert sands
I’ve seen playing children with guns in there hands
I’ve seen the rain come down and dry my eyes
I’ve seen the truth in the shadow of lies
I’ve seen ancient waters become so dry
That this old world will surely wither and Die
And I’ve seen the forest as they wither and die
Life full of sunsets, but no sunrise
These days grow cold under diamond skies
I can’t see it changing before it withers and dies
I’ve seen old men die for a chance to be young
I’ve seen the innocent say Lord what have we done
I’ve see the proud claim victory before they ever won
I’ve seen the fire long before the smoke has begun
I’ve seen victims with blood on there hands
I’ve seen a criminal make a righteous stand
I’ve seen history repeating, and now I understand
That mistakes can be made, but there lessons must be band
And I’ve seen the forest as they wither and die
Life full of sunsets, but no sunrise
These days grow cold under diamond skies
I can’t see it changing before it withers and Dies
I watched the road and it sank into the dirt
I’ve seen money made off those it hurt
I’ve seen when women get less then they deserve
I’ve seen a mans bare back as he gave away his shirt
I’ve seen the bastard son of old father time
I’ve seen him down on wall street then the un-employment line
I see his life ain’t to different then mine
Working away as I wither and die
And I’ve seen the forest as they wither and die
Life full of sunsets, but no sunrise
These days grow cold under diamond skies
I can’t see it changing before it withers and Dies
